Ghostbusters Was Great! 

On Thursday night/Friday morning me and Naomi went to see a midnight release of Ghostbusters. The movie has received some controversial reviews and had a somewhat cloud of doubt held over it because of it’s all female cast.

This version of Ghostbusters is a completely different take on the original Ghostbusters film that released in 1984 and  featured an all male cast. That movie was an instant hit

and has become a classic that has stood the test of time in terms of brand awareness and sales of merchandise over the last 32 years.

Now when I saw the original film I remember being about 6 or 7 which means I didn’t see it until the film was almost ten years old. Sorry I wasn’t born until 1987 but remember being mesmerized by the visual effects and scary/humorous nature of the Film. The movie was viewed on VHS which looking back now wasn’t the best format for watching movies but was the best we had back then.

The new reboot of the Ghostbusters franchise

does a great job of keeping the bones of he movie the same and delivering a stellar performance that is unquie unto itself. The cast has great chemistry and the jokes are funny and come in abundance. I never like giving any part of the movies away but this is definitely a movie I would recommend to all.

What also added to our experience was the fact that we were able to view the film in 3D and with D-Box seats. For those that are unfamiliar with these technologies 3D allows for the action to pop of the screen in a very life way and brings the action to you with truly immersive and eye popping visuals letting you feel like you could touch the action on screen. D-Box seats are motion controlled seats that are synced perfectly with the action on screen allowing the user to feel every punch, jump and explosion on screen. If the main character is looking around the corner slowly to get a perfect shot or to scout something out the seat will lean to the side to simulate you moving with the action. These two technologies together really made this movie a great experience and a fun time for our date night!!!!
